- Dr Swart is the South African Ambassador for the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO)
- He was the leader of the group of South African clinicians that wrote the Covid-19 dentistry protocols for the South African Dental Association (SADA)-2020
- He is among the first group of clinicians to place TLX implants in humans.
- He was one of the first 70 clinicians worldwide to use BLX implants and was involved with the launch of BLX implants in South Africa. In addition, he tested the concept of immediacy with final prosthesis delivered with BLX molar placement within five hours
